Our mission is to sell good cars to good people and our goal is to make our customers happy and exceed people’s expectations. About 90% of the vehicles we sell are Toyotas. They’re one of the most reliable brands out there, especially if you’re buying used. Even if you do have a problem with a Toyota, the odds are that parts will be readily available and the car will be simple, cheap and easy to fix. We also sell other Japanese brands such as Honda, Nissan, and Lexus (Toyota’s luxury brand). We also sell some Ford and General Motors trucks and SUVs because we’ve had good experiences with them reliability-wise. If a car has a low score in consumer reports or JD Power, or if we have experience with a particular year/make/model combination and we know that it has problems then we just won’t sell it. Even though we’re confident in the brands that we sell we still take the time to make sure each individual vehicle is mechanically sound before we’ll put it up for sale.

Our mechanics thoroughly inspect and test drive each vehicle that we plan to sell to make sure they don’t have any issues. If we can find anything at all that needs to be fixed, even if it is something minor like a window motor or a brake light, we will fix it. We check everything from the brakes, oil, engine compression, transmission, and more to ensure that everything is as it should be before we’re comfortable selling a car. We do everything in our power to guarantee that anyone who buys from us is getting a good car at a fair price.

In order to keep our pricing fair and transparent we have absolutely no dealer fee (or service fee, or documentation fee, or any other nonsense like that) and we write the asking price of our vehicles directly on the windshield. When you buy a vehicle from Gulfport Auto you can expect to pay the exact same fees that you would when you’re buying from a private seller or individual: just tax, tag and title.

We refuse to sell anything that doesn’t give our customers the best possible chance of making it to work and getting home again at the end of the day. Even if we’re passing up on an opportunity to make more money in the short term we will only sell reliable vehicles with no issues. If we can succeed in making sure our customers are happy for months and years after they buy a car from us, we believe that we will see more success in the long run than we would trying to make a quick buck in the short term.
